The History of Christian Theology
Every Wednesday at 9 a.m. in Zion's library
A "Teaching Company" DVD Presentation by Dr. Phillip Cary, Eastern University
During June & July we will cover areas such as: Varieties of Early Christianity, Emergence of Christian Doctrine; Doctrines of the Trinity, Incarnation, & Grace, The Incomprehensible and Supernatural.
I get many questions regarding the why of some of these things - the easiest way for me to teach you is for you to join us - Dr. Cary is easy to listen to - questions/discussion follows the presentation.

SUNDAY SCHOOL/YOUTH SERVICE PROJECT
Cans for Toys for Tots: As a special service project, Sunday School Students and their families are encouraged to collect returnable cans and bottles from the sides of roads. Returnable’s can be placed in the garbage can at the church or if you have too many - contact Les Elmblad. Les has volunteered to coordinate. This will not only help to keep our roadsides clean, but the money raised will be given to Toys for Tots by the children at the Toys for Tots concert this fall. We are also planning a youth event this summer to do this as a group. (Confirmands you can count time collecting cans as a service project!)
CONFIRMATION
Summer Confirmation Class: Dates for Confirmation Class this summer are Aug. 23rd - 25th from 8:30 a.m. to Noon each day. We will also meet at ZIon on the first Sunday of the month after the 10:45 a.m. at Zion, as well as once online during the month. Confirmation class is open to all youth grades 7 and up. Please contact Judy for more information.
YOUTH COMMITTEE & COORDINATOR - We need volunteers to work with our youth/special activities/etc. Responsibilities would not include Sunday School. We thank all who make Sunday School such a wonderful learning experience for our children.
